Rename IUSR IWAM Accounts

IIS IWAM and IUSR have the wrong server-name after a rename of the server after VMWare/Ghosting. You want to re-create them with the new server-name because two computers would have the same IWAM and IUSR accounts.

TCP Port 2967 Security

The source jump from 40,000 to 80,000 with a large number of them originating in China. Recent tcp 2967 traffic appears to be related to an IRC BOT mostly aimed at colleges, but others, too. This following links give a rather good explanation of the exploit.

PHP Version Compatability

Any discussion on the subject of PHP Version Compatability would be incomplete if no mention was made about older versions of PHP and the php.ini settings register_globals and register_long_arrays. These two settings alone seem to create hours of frustation for PHP Web designers and people trying to move their web site from one provider to another.
